Adrianna has built her artistic versatility on her
experience with pottery, graphic design and stained
glass. Combined with her concerns for the environment,
this versatility led her to experiment with making
the recycled paper that now serves as the canvas for
her mixed media collages. Into this hand made paper
she presses and glues layers of organic and found
materials. Flower petals, strands of chenille, bark, ferns
and other organic material assist in creating the
whimsical scenes that her collectors refer to as "Adrianna
Art". Her work speakes to all ages, reflecting
the joys of childhood and nature. Adrianna is especially
interested in stimulating discussions on racism, education
and the environment through the humour and emotional
intensity of her art.
Adrianna is a self-taught artist relying on her imagination,
and natural gift for remaining young at heart. She
and her artist husband ,sculptor Dave Card, live in
Lanark Highlands, Ontario, Canada. They have a gallery
in their country home where they show their work when
they are not on the road attending art shows. Once
per year they hold a small show at their home. The
theme of the show is art inspired by nature and children.
They invite artists, musicians, naturalists, and writers
to participate.
Both
Adrianna and Dave have work in private collections
in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia.
Adrianna's long term goal is to illustrate one or
more children's books with her unique form of art.

Explanation of window:
"THERE'S ONE IN EVERY CLASS", is all about
the playfulness and imagination of children. Learning
can be fun and although one must maintian a certain
amount of order in the classroom , precotious children
must also be encouraged to be inventive and imaginative.
I also believe that education in the arts is vital
to the growth of all children, but in particular those
children at the extreme ends of the scale. Shy children
are often brought out of their shell by being involved
with music, and the dramatic arts. In turn, hyperactive
children often find a vent for their energy and imagination
in visual and dramatic art. Many of these kids improve
scholastically once involved in art programs.
I hope this piece helps to serve as a reminder that
education in the arts be it in the visual, dramatic,
culinary, or musical arts is of great value to our
society. Creating openminded, talented and intellectual
individuals to help make this a better world for all
of us to live in is a goal we should all aspire to
achieve.
