The Summit Federal Credit Union was founded by the employees of the Rochester Telephone Corporation and received a charter from the Federal Government in 1941. To recognize its diverse membership base, the credit union changed its name in 1983 from the Rochester Telephone Federal Credit Union to The Summit Federal Credit Union.

The Summit now serves an ever increasing number of employees, association members, family members and retirees from a growing number of organizations in the Rochester area. The Summit now offers a full array of financial products and services out of several locations. The Summit also is committed to being active in the communities in which our members live and work.

Title: "View of Veterans Bridge from Seneca Park"
Artist: Stephen Papke
Window Dimensions: 53" x 50"

Steve has been painting since the 1970's and last fall participated in his 30th Clothesline Show. For
the last 21 years, he has exhibited at the Roselawn Gallery in Pittsford, and he has works in many private and corporate collections. Just recently he developed "God Spired" along with the music director of St. John's Lutheran Church. It is an art and music program to help kids in the church and in the community develop and release the creative spirit that lives within each of us, an endeavor that Steve has found to be highly rewarding. As an artist for Windows on Irondequoit, he is honored to work with the West Irondequoit Foundation on another special project.

This window will be done in watercolor. The finished painting will be water media and oriental paper collage, which is a technique that I have used for many years. I find the bridge very impressive when viewed from the park. It is so massive, yet it frames the gorge and the Genesee beautifully.
