Irondequoit artist, Fran Mascari attended the creative
workshop of the Memorial Art Gallery for 12 years,
but is basically self-taught.
A past president of the Irondequoit Art Club, she
has won many ribbons and awards, including a “Best
of Show”. Fran is also a member of the Suburban
Art Group.
A lifelong resident of Irondequoit, Fran grew up at
367 Cooper Road (the Genrich Florist today) where
her father was also a florist from 1934-1956. This
connection led to her window project titled “367
Cooper Road: Then and Now”.
Fran’s six watercolor paintings and photos began
as the house, floral and truck farm looked in the
1930’s and progresses to the Genrich Florist
and Gift Shop today.
Mary Ellen and Ralph Genrich are Fran’s Window
Project sponsors.
