Manning is a self taught artist who has been painting
for 25 years. He continues to study the arts and histories
of world cultures. His technique varies from Surreal
to Fantastic, Impressionist to Realist although he
categorizes the majority of his work as Symbolist.
His themes are varied, but he says their voice is
unified. A quarter century of painting has given him
the confidence of technique and the the joy of
purpose.
He writes, "I paint for my time and eternity.
I wish always to be human.
I pray for love, and respect that its opposite exists."
He has exhibited at the Memorial Art Gallery, the
Center at High Falls Gallery, the Rundel Memorial
Library, Hallwalls Art Center in Buffalo, and The
Pyramid Art Center in Rochester.
