John Lord refers to himself as a designer rather than a furniture maker or sculptor.  He enjoys confronting people with his art and likes his viewers to question the usual norms.
 
His style is eclectic and contains elements of Greek Revival architecture, geological formations, the Memphis style of design in Milano from the ‘70’s and 80’s and more, John finds this incongruity challenging.
 
Educated at Finger Lakes Community College, Buffalo State and Syracuse University, John holds a Master’s in Fine Arts.  His creation for the Windows Project changes his window from “something we look through to something we look at.”
