Sponsor:
Irondequoit Literary Society
Instituted in the 1970's, the Literary Society functions
as a nurturing group for the teachers of West Irondequoit
School District. Gatherings held periodically
serve to entertain, to comfort, and to share life-altering
events in a spirited atmosphere of support and refreshment.
Founded by those who possess a love the arts--humor,
poetry, drama and song--the charter members and newly
adopted ones now dedicate the sponsorship of this
window to those who once laughed, performed, and rejoiced
with us: Frank Clapp, Donna Byers, John Thompson,
Jack Burroughs and Erica Hass.

Andrew E. Jurman graduated from S.U.N.Y. New Paltz
with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography. He
experimented with photography for many years, but
spent the majority of his time developing and perfecting
his in-camera multiple exposure technique.
A Rochester, New York resident since 1983, Andrew
has gained recognition for his experimental work in
Photography. He has had work selected for national
art competitions, received merit and purchase awards
and has been published in calendars and magazines. Mr.
Jurman’s photographs are on display at several

Andrew's photography represents a unique style
of work that he has been experimenting with since
1978. The impressionistic effect is
achieved with an in-camera multiple exposure technique
rather than through the use of filters.
