Diane Bosco, a native of Irondequoit and alumna of
Irondequoit High School, gratuated from Michigan State
University with a degree in Journalism. After graduation
her career took many turns. She worked in the Education
Department at Vogue in New York City, as a personnel/advertising
manager at Flah's clothing store in Albany and in
the Alumni Office at Nazareth College.
She is married to Dr. John Bosco, a Pediatrician in
the Portland Pediatrics group. They have four children
-- all gradutes of Irondequoit High School.
Diane's love of art prompted her to pursue her talent
in classes at R.I.T, Nazareth College and Memorial
Art Gallery. She is a member of the Irondequoit Art
Club and her watercolors hang in many local homes.
The design for the window, "St. George's Chapel,
Summerville," was inspired by an article in the
Irondequoit Post, with a picture of the abandoned
chapel, once located on St. Paul Blvd. Diane's window
depicts the chapel as it might have appeared when
it served as a place of worship to lakeside vacationers
and sailors from the Port of Rochester. It is oval
and meeasures 17" x 40". The chapel is done
in terra cotta clay and mounted on black masonite.
