Title: "Family, Flora and Fauna"
Artist: Margery Pearl Gurnett
Window Dimensions: 53" x 50"

Margery Pearl Gurnett of Pearl Glassworks is a nationally recognized glass artist whose public and private commissions can be found everywhere from ornaments for the White House Christmas tree to major airports in the US and Canada. She specializes in mosaics and sandblasted, etched, painted architectural glass windows and panels.

About her window: "I wanted to do a window with a strong graphic image, so I chose to do this in the style of old silhouette cut-outs. I had the paint removed from the oak window frames. A special clear glass with a thin flashed layer of opaque black enamel was fired on to the surface. The glass was masked and then certain areas of glass were exposed and then sandblasted. The title of this piece is "Family, Flora and Fauna". The size of the frame is 50"x54 1⁄2". The image reflects the closeness of the community as family, flora signifying continual growth, and the deer border illustrates literally, how the community is surrounded by these native animals."
