The West Irondequoit FOUNDATION (WIF) is a not-for-profit organization. It was established to receive gifts, bequests and donations in order to provide grant funding to enhance the educational programs of the West Irondequoit Central School District (WICSD).

What does the FOUNDATION do?
It raises funds to support a variety of programs and to purchase equipment that cannot be supported by the district's annual budget. The FOUNDATION has granted more than a quarter of a million dollars to the district since 1990.

What other projects does the FOUNDATION support?
The FOUNDATION runs the ongoing Buy-A-Brick Campaign. Residents, staff and other interested benefactors may purchase
engraved bricks in memory of or in honor of persons, businesses or organizations for the Alumni Courtyard at Irondequoit High School.

Who manages the FOUNDATION?
The FOUNDATION is led by a board of directors. These individuals volunteer their time and energies, which are rooted in a deep pride and abiding commitment to WICSD. They rely entirely on the support of alumni, businesses and the community to carry out the FOUNDATION'S endeavors.

How can I find out more about the FOUNDATION?
Please call the Office of Public Information at 336-3067 for information about making a donation, to become involved or to receive WIF literature.
